Spiritual Direction & Contemplative Circles for Therapists and Clinicians

A non-clinical space that gently supports the work you’re already doing

I offer one-on-one spiritual direction and small contemplative circles for those who aren’t looking for diagnosis or treatment, but for a place to slow down, listen inward, and stay with what’s real in their lives.

This work supports spiritual awakening—the process of becoming more aware, more honest, and more aligned with what feels deeply true.

It’s often subtle. Not always linear. And not something that can be rushed or figured out.

My role is not to analyze, interpret, or guide toward a particular outcome, but to accompany people as they notice what feels true, what is unfolding, and what might be asking for their attention.

Often, this space supports those moving through identity shifts, vocational discernment, faith transitions or deconstruction, grief, and seasons where something new is taking shape.

A Note on Scope

This is not therapy.

I don’t diagnose, treat, or offer crisis support. When clinical care is needed, I encourage clients to pursue or continue working with a licensed therapist.

Spiritual direction is non-directive and non-clinical. It centers on presence, listening, and reflection. Creating space for people to discern their own way forward, rather than being guided toward solutions.

When This Work Can Be Supportive

Spiritual direction or contemplative circles may sit alongside therapy for those who are:

  • Emotionally stable and resourced

  • Engaged in (or completing) therapeutic work

  • Exploring questions of meaning, identity, or direction

  • Moving through transitions, grief, or inner shifts

  • Experiencing a process of spiritual awakening or reorientation

  • Longing for a space that isn’t focused on fixing, but on listening

Often, people come when what’s needed isn’t more analysis, but a different kind of attention; slower, quieter, and more attuned to what’s real.

About Sanctuary Circles

I facilitate small contemplative circles (limited to nine participants) that are:

  • Non-clinical

  • Not therapy or process groups

  • Not centered on feedback, advice, or fixing

These gatherings offer a simple, steady structure—
with quiet reflection, contemplative practices, and optional sharing.

A place to sit with what’s unfolding, alongside others who are also learning to trust what they feel
and follow what’s real.

Formation & Integrity

I am a trained spiritual director (currently in formation through Sustainable Faith) and receive ongoing supervision to support the integrity of this work.

Alongside this, my approach is shaped by years of meditation and yoga practice, as well as trauma-informed and nervous system–aware care.

All of this informs how I hold space — with attentiveness to safety, embodiment, and the unfolding of each person’s inner life.

Collaboration

This work is designed to complement, not replace, therapeutic care.

With client consent, I’m open to collaborative communication when it feels supportive.

If you sense a client may benefit from a non-clinical, spiritually attentive space for reflection and discernment, you’re welcome to reach out or refer directly.
