For Therapists & Clinicians
A non-clinical space that complements therapeutic work
I offer spiritual companionship and small-group circles — non-clinical, presence-based spaces for individuals who are not seeking treatment, diagnosis, or behavioral intervention, but who desire a slower space for reflection, discernment, and meaning-making.
Both 1:1 sessions and group circles are grounded in deep listening, silence, and gentle inquiry. These spaces are not goal-oriented and do not involve therapeutic techniques, coaching strategies, or advice-giving. My role is not to interpret or fix, but to accompany.
Scope & boundaries
Spiritual companionship and listening circles are not therapy.
I do not:
diagnose or treat mental health conditions
provide crisis support
offer clinical interventions or behavioral goals
replace or substitute for psychotherapy
I hold clear boundaries around scope of practice and regularly refer out when clinical support is needed.
When this work may be supportive
These non-clinical listening spaces can be a helpful complement to therapy for clients who are:
stable and well-resourced
currently engaged in therapy, or who have completed a course of therapy
navigating spiritual questions, life transitions, grief, or identity shifts
seeking a space that is not problem- or outcome-focused
wanting to deepen trust in themselves without analysis or pressure
Clients often come to this work after insight has been gained, when what’s needed is space, presence, and integration rather than treatment.
About group circles
In addition to 1:1 spiritual companionship, I facilitate small-group circles that offer a shared, non-clinical space for reflection and presence.
These circles are:
not therapy groups
not process-oriented
not focused on feedback, interpretation, or advice
Participants are invited into attentive listening, optional sharing, and respect for individual pacing. Silence is welcomed. Passing is always an option. The emphasis is on being with one’s own experience in the presence of others, rather than working something out together.
Group circles may be appropriate for clients who benefit from communal reflection without therapeutic processing.
Relationship to therapy
This work is designed to support, not compete with, therapeutic care.
Clients are welcome to remain in therapy while participating in spiritual companionship or group circles. I respect the therapeutic container and do not undermine clinical goals. With client consent, I am open to collaborative communication when appropriate.
Training & orientation
My work is shaped by formal training in spiritual direction, ongoing supervision, and years of experience holding contemplative 1:1 and small-group spaces. I practice from a non-pathologizing, non-directive orientation that centers listening, trust, and respect for each person’s inner life.
Referrals & questions
If you believe a client may benefit from a non-clinical listening space alongside therapy, you’re welcome to reach out with questions or refer them directly.
